1990s-era Lancia Delta Integrale comes back as a restomod
Netherlands-based tuner Maturo Competition Cars normally produces full-fledged rally cars on Lancia Delta basis, but its latest project will interest those looking for a daily-driver alternative.
Dubbed the Maturo Stradale, it is essentially a Delta HF Integrale 16V hatchback that shone in Group A rally tournaments of 1990 and 1991 (see video). The car gets overhauled suspension, brakes and interior, plus a lighter body and a stronger engine – all the while remaining street-legal.
The sleek images in our gallery below are just 3D renderings at this point; browse on to see what the donor vehicle looks like at this stage of development. Maturo envisions it with an all-carbon body that should make it weigh no more than 1,200 kilograms (2,645 pounds) with the new front spoiler and rear wing taken into account.
A glance at the arches reveals Evo Corse 17-inch forged wheels suspended on Intrax suspension with a hydraulic lift kit. The handbrake will even have a dedicated button for braking strength adjustment on the go. As for the cabin, it will be trimmed with fine leather and artificial suede with sprinkles of aluminum, titanium and carbon fiber here and there. Whether to strip it or retain the rear seat row will be up to the buyers.
Only 10 Maturo Stradale restomods will be made in total. Pricing and availability haven’t been announced yet.
