Video: Qatar’s only Brabus G700 Widestar
German tuning company Brabus specializes in high-end customization of Mercedes-Benz cars, and the W463A G-Class counts among its most expensive and exclusive offerings. One of these has now made it to AutoTellus, a dealership in Doha, Qatar.
The off-roader is shown wearing the tuner’s Widestar body kit along with 23-inch Monoblock Type F rims. It makes use of a custom suspension setup called Ride Control Special and an active-valve exhaust system. We had seen Widestar SUVs in black before, but this one comes finished in white with rare black accents – unusual but understandable, considering how sunny the weather in Doha is most of the time.
Inside, the unique G-Class has been trimmed with Mint Green leather adorned with Brabus logos, lined with the tuner’s special floor mats and otherwise decorated to make it stand out from stock.
A more interesting sight reveals itself when you pop up the hood. The stock 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 has been comprehensively tuned to output 710 PS (700 hp / 522 kW) and 960 Nm (708 lb-ft) of torque. A nine-speed transmission carries the torque to all four wheels, taking the bulky off-road machine from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.15 seconds.
Brabus neglected to mention the pricing associated with the build.
