Swedish tuner puts together a fine 420-PS BMS E30 M3 restomod
The E30 generation of the BMW M3 counts among the most widely recognized and loved, in no small part thanks to its eminent tuning capacity. For today, let us look at this gorgeous restomod by John’s Garage from Sweden.
One of the most common modifications of the E30 is an E46 engine swap – and this project is no exception. While they were at it, the tuners expanded the displacement volume to 3.7 liters and bumped up the output to 420 PS (414 hp / 309 kW). They also borrowed the transmission from the E46, but never released acceleration specs.
Like any self-respecting restomod, this M3 also enjoys completely overhauled suspension, a new brake system, an M3 Evo rear wing and an exhaust system culminating in two sawn-off tailpipes. 18-inch forged DTM wheels sit in the arches. The interior makes intensive use of Alcantara with the seats offset in brown leather and the steering wheel in black leather. In addition to the mandatory roll cage, the car has a radio with Bluetooth support on board plugged into a modern audio system.
The car is on sale right now for an asking price of €150,000.
